EGYPTAIN DANCE
GO!

Fantastic song, never stop. Love the beat and scale, and especially love the synth at 0:54 that sounds like "ah yawh yawh yawh yawh" haha and the synth at 1:01 is soooo sweet, it starts coming in at 0:54 with the yawh yawh synth but not at full cutoff.

Melody genius too. just a lil bit.

what.

the quality on this is awful, i can tell exactly where you got all of your god-awful, overused samples in the fl studio library, and this sounds like it was made in a lax five minutes with no care to detail. come on newgrounds, really? stop glitching.... theres no variety, nothing human about it (i.e. midi quality), and just harsh sounds everywhere.

the one good thing i have to say about it is that if you were to learn more about production, you could remix this with better instruments because the melody isnt all too bad.

Tails-Lock responds:

It's simple, but nothing about it deserves to be called awful. Yes I did use generic FL studio samples and I did create the basics of the song in probably 5 minutes. But the sounds are harsh? really? I'm not sure what you're comparing this to, but it seems okay for a song here on NG. Not good, but... surely not awful.

honestly...

i really hate whoever zerobombed this thing as the first vote, it definitely deserves a 5/5 ;)
Love how the voice and lyrics fit into each other really well, and great kick section!

Soulero responds:

Thanks : P

Decibel7 responds:

I'm glad to hear about my influence! :D
I'll definitely check it out in a bit. :)

ahhh

i could use some hot cocoa or tea or something hot right now indeed.
nice job on this, seems like something that would go really well with random weebl lyrics :P

xXGuessWhatXx responds:

Lol. Thanks for the review. And I agree. But, I still need to get me some hot cocoa. >.>

So much feeling.....

This is the best remix ever not just because it captures the same feel as the original song, but because it does so in such a way that amplifies it so you don't even need to know the story behind the two games (which I love btw) to love this music. You made it so that, Pokemon fan or not, this is great music. And that's why this deserves 10 stars truly.

TheGuitahHeroe responds:

Wow. . . thank you :)

Wow

I need there to be more than 10 stars........
this is just so beautiful.
incredible.
thats literally all i can say about it.

Thank you. :)

TommyUlysesGrant responds:

Thank you very much.

AWESOME

great feel, very just rhythmic and playful and light. Percussion gives it a sort of less childlike feel so it actually has some substance, and great job with Sytrus and FL Keys and melody arpeggiation.
8 stars:
-1 for over-balanced left side at places like 0:36
-1 for not having the best outro

overall well done :3

impurenergy responds:

thanks for the input. I will re work the outro. I see what you mean about the left channel aswell

HOLY FUdgesicles

I think Newgrounds is broken, I can't add to favorites twice or rate higher than 10...
But anyway, fantastic.
Analysis here we go!
Intro - epic. love it. The lead synth almost reminds me of something out of metroid, whose music I happen to love for its eeriness.
Next section - great setup for things to come, really nice blend of sounds and upbeat.
Main melody chorus: W0O0O0O0O0O0OP
Polychord section: YAY new chords! perfect time to introduce them, neither interrupting nor desparately needed. Perfect timing with that, integrated a variation of the main melody extremely well with that in the next section.
2:14 YYYYEEEESSSSSSSSSSS the legendary Ebbing Waves pan flute :D
Great re-entry of the lead synth, followed by a sweet synth solo. awesomesauce.
btw i <3 ur bassline synth combos.
then the main melody chorus again, again more w00pness there, espesh with the combo of the solo synth line.
Section after that: NOICEE, thrid chord introducced. I love how that's a whole evolution in itsown right that we as the audience completely forget about until it comes, which is made even sweeter by that fact.
And again with your bass synth combos.
Then- :D more pan flute, with good ol' sweet parallel harmony, then a great use of doubling that on the saw synth with resonance mod. i likey. then then flute goes out, then the so-epic percussion (sad to see it go :[ ), and then the synth itself through a filter, into nothingness.
then we loop it :D
You're awesome, nuff said. I've only done this kind of analysis with one other song, and if I recall it may have even been one of your other songs xD
peace,
-N

DJ-Babokon responds:

LOL thanks you're awesome! Glad you liked it! Best review on here. :D

Holy jeebus.

Great for an epic rush sorta feeling you know? You think you may have done it wrong, but this sort of progressive harmony, constant pulseflow is what we should all be aiming for. Would be insanely epic at night on a beach where everything is dark and all that's there are the waves, you and your thoughts, and your music.

DLed, 5d, faved. idc if other people [including you] dont think this is that amazing, but i love it.

Thanks for the ride here. There needs to be more of this.

RainOfTheRelentless responds:

Best review I've had. I quite agree that there needs to more intense remixes like this one. After thinking a bit, I think I know agree with you, lol.
